Rivers of Life

‘Rivers of Life – A Journey Through India’s Rivers’ is an exhibition project, organized by Azim Premji University, Bangalore, that features visual stories of rivers throughout the country captured primarily through photographs. My work explores the interactions not only between what humans have with rivers but also how the river ecosystem affects the biodiversity around it. My idea investigates on how lives around rivers are 'enmeshed' and 'entangled', whether human or posthuman. The way all life forms are interconnected in nature cannot be overlooked. This ensemble captures the journey of River Sabarmati through a stretch of 25 km from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad.
